Hands-On Learning

Training the Next Generation of Community Health Workers

Since our founding, VICMEF has been committed to strengthening healthcare beyond our own walls. We coordinate hands-on training for community nurses under the guidance of experienced medical professionals, and we welcome student interns from partner institutions for practical clinical experience.

This program reflects our belief that sustainable healthcare starts with well-trained, community-rooted health workers — not just treating patients, but building local capacity for the future.

Growing Impact

A Program That Keeps Growing

Class after class, VICMEF's nurse training program continues to strengthen healthcare capacity across Douala and beyond. Reach out if you'd like to know more about the program's reach so far.

How It Works

Hands-On Learning

Trainees and interns gain real clinical experience under the supervision of our professional team.

Community Nurse Training

Structured, practical preparation for community nurses guided by experienced medical staff at VICMEF.

Student Internships

We welcome student interns from other institutions for supervised clinical placements and hands-on learning.

Aligned Partnerships

Training is developed in collaboration with government and NGO partners to match national priorities and local needs.

Sustainable Healthcare Starts Locally

By investing in people who will serve their own communities, VICMEF helps create a stronger, more resilient health system. Every nurse trained is another pair of skilled hands ready to care for families in Douala and beyond.
